I’ve had a number of experiences in the past few months which have both inspired me and challenged me to think big (and also to look at the ways in which I don’t.) All too often we let our egos, our fears, our perceived limitations, or our selfish motivations get in our way from thinking big.
In this week’s video blog I talk about this phenomenon and how we can get out of our own way, with compassion, and challenge ourselves to think big in an authentic way.
Check out the video below and feel free to leave a comment here on my blog about it. You can share thoughts, questions, ideas, insights, or anything else that this video inspires.

Yes, thinking bigger, expanding our consciousness around what’s important, our contribution and legacy, brings up all kind of stuff, to put it mildly. However, its the greatest opportunity to grow and know ourselves more deeply, and ultimately come to the place of being and doing our best in service to humanity.
Congrats too on bringing on board a business manager….good for you, another risk of thinking bigger that leads to doing better…..

I found this post to be particularly poignant, and I’m encouraged to rethink areas in my life that I may not be happy with at this time.

This really speaks to me as I’ve been having a similar internal dialogue for a few months. Haven’t made the big leap yet but feels like I’m getting closer.
Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts. 🙂

Thanks for sharing! I love the thought that thinking big is not always thinking “big”. It can also be thinking different, letting go of the past and expanding our consciousness. I think that these are the incremental steps which ultimately can become huge shifts from where we were at one time. I always love the authenticity that comes through when you share your thoughts with us!

Thanks for sharing these thoughts and challenging us in your latest video. one of the things I have decided to really focus on is removing the words just only solely from my vocabulary when it comes to talking about myself. I have come to realize that I have a story to share and that many people can benefit from hearing it. now, need to find the audience. i have been told that my experiences as a blind person who started his own business and has become one of the recognized experts in his field is very inspiring. am actively seeking coaching clients and looking for speaking opportunities of my own. would appreciate any suggestions you may have. thanks and continued success, Max

I used to have trouble thinking big, mainly because I related ‘being big’ to selfishness. But, I now realize that being big doesn’t necessarily have to do with just the self, it could be what ever you and your qualities and skills can bring to lift up others.
This is relevant to something that has been going through my mind lately. Thank you, Mike.
