Managing
conflict through effective communication
Program Overview:
Difficult people
are part of life, but they don't need to be toxic to those around
them! Learning to effectively deal with
difficult people is essential and fundamental to the success of
any individual, group, or organization. Leaders, managers, and
team members must be able to communicate in a way that facilitates
resolution and success, particularly when conflict is inevitable.
This program provides valuable tools and techniques for resolving
any kind of conflict through open communication.
The participants learn:
- Listening
techniques allow others to feel valued and understood
- How to
handle other people’s emotions without becoming defensive
or taking sides
- Ways to
resolve direct conflict and to mediate conflict between others
- How taking
responsibility differs from accepting blame
- Techniques
for communicating in an empowering way that leads to winning
outcomes
This
program can be delivered as a keynote address or breakout session
(up to 90 minutes), a half-day seminar (up to 4 hours), or
a full-day workshop (up to 8 hours).
